This is great. Thank you. Is there a brand of whole grain bread you recommend to make bread crumbs other than Ezekiel.
No, I haven’t found one that is free of additives and honey. If you do let us know. Check your local bakery or just make the PD Burger Buns. This is what I use to make crumbs.
What about canned fruits? I notice mine have added calcium chloride and citric acid. I also notice that the Muir Glen tomato sauce has “natural citric acid”. Does that make it ok – that it’s organic and natural?
Naturally derived citric acid is fine to use. Avoid canned fruit and apple sauce that contain calcium chloride and citric acid. Once you find the brands that are fee of these ingredients in your stores it will become easier to shop.
Hi~
What brand(s) do you recommend for mustards?
I hesitate to recommend brands due to the possibility of ingredient changes. The two that I currently have in my refrigerator door are both Koops’ brand. One is Organic Yellow and the other is Deli Spicy Brown. Look for ingredients containing: Vinegar, water, mustard seed, turmeric and salt. Avoid additives such as Natural Flavor and Spices.
Great value mustard is complaint. Walmarts store brand.
This is so very very helpful!!! thank you!!
VERY helpful list! Perhaps you could add a way for us to print it out (with or without photos)? That would be helpful, so we could have it with us at the grocery store 🙂
I think I am going to work a little over some so I can stock up on some of this stuff:) There is so much I want to just put in my kitchen and have on hand:)
