When we chew dark leafy greens we produce nitric oxide. This promotes our endothelium, the foundation of our immune system. Nitric oxide is a powerful vasodilator and improves our blood flow naturally. Both cooked and raw kale will improve blood flow. This simple raw salad option will help you slip in these powerful green leafy nitric oxide promoters.

  1. This was good, and so pretty, but truth be told, I like the Asian Kale so much that I’d much rather eat my kale that way. I’m still glad I tried this, though. I dressed it with Mango Island Dressing.

  2. I am not a big fan of kale like this but I want to try it! I know it is good for you and I want it to become part of my diet. What dressing do you think would be the best to use with it?

    1. I’m not a huge fan of raw kale, but if you shred it up very thin it can be enjoyable. I find the sweeter dressings are better on bitter greens like the Strawberry Poppy Seed or the Mango Island Dressing. My preference is to eat kale steamed like in my Asian Style Kale or Garlic Greens recipes.
