I’ve made brown rice many different ways, but following your directions for making it in an electric pressure cooker produced the best, done to perfection, brown rice ever!

Just made this in the pressure cooker for the first time as instructed. OMG you are a genius as always. I cant tell you how many times I have ruined perfectly good brown rice. Now I no longer fear making brown rice!!!

I used the pressure cooker directions and this was so easy and perfectly cooked! I won’t ever use another way, thank you!

Using your pressure cooker method of cooking brown rice was easier and produced better cooked rice than even my Zojirushi rice cooker! I have used this method several times now and it is indeed perfect every time!

      Love the rice perfection!
I have an older 6 qt Instant Pot and if you press the function button twice it will cancel the keep warm function.
Ex. I press Rice Rice and the warm function is cancelled. Works with the Manual pressure button too. Or any button I think. This may have been mentioned in the pressure cooker class oh, I can’t remember anything!

Another kudos for the PC method of rice – I have never been able to master brown rice but this comes out perfect each time – thank you for these directions!

My electric pressure cooker doesn’t have a rice setting, unfortunately. Any help for me here?

You can try cooking it under pressure for 15 minutes or use the stove top method.

Julie, I read in one of Dr. Barnard’s books that he toasts his rice before cooking. Have you ever tried that and if so, did it add a bit more depth to the rice flavor? I’m not a big fan of rice but toasted sounds pretty good.

My IP has a rice setting, a multi grain setting, and a pressure cook setting… So I’m confused on what to do…..
