Fresh Tomato Salsa is a quick prep recipe using canned or boxed tomatoes. It’s perfect for the winter months when fresh tomatoes aren’t at their peak and fresh salsa is calling you. Four fresh ingredients, with just five minutes to prepare, and you will have salsa that blows away the overpriced shelved jarred versions.

I put mine in a blender with all the ingredients and pulsed it. We like ours more pureed than chunky. This was a winner. Thanks!
This is a favorite. I like to add fresh diced tomatoes
Awesome. Hubby loved it. I left out the puree though to keep it more chunky.
Mine turned out more like a marinara sauce so used on pasta and was delicious. Will have to work on my salsa.
Never buying salsa again! I eat this by the spoonful – delicious with the baked tortilla chips and also takes so good on top of the Garlic Greens.
This was delicious! My canned tomatoes had citric acid in them, so I used 1 container of Pomi Chopped Tomatoes and 1 container of Pomi Strained Tomatoes. The chopped tomatoes are much smaller than canned tomatoes, so the end result was more like a jarred salsa than it was like Pico de Gallo, but it was still a big hit with the whole family!
