Italian “Sausage” Pizza Premium PD Recipe

I’m tempted in Chicago by the intoxicating smell of pizza on every street corner I pass. I came up with an easy homemade pizza recipe to fit perfectly into a Protective Diet. Free of all the saturated fat and loaded with the best toppings, including Chicago style “sausage”.

  1. I loved this recipe! Before PD, I had shied away from making pizza dough, opting for buying the dough instead—but this is easy and delicious! Not to mention cheaper than buying pizza! If you like pizza, then definitely give this a shot! I loaded up the veggies, but the do cook down, so be sure to OVER load your favourite veggies.

  2. This pizza is so good that even my non-PD-eating family liked it! I made it without the “sausage” and just loaded it with veggies, and made it again with the sausage. I never used to eat pizza with sausage on it but I really liked the addition of the tempeh sausage. It provided great texture and taste!

    I also made the Italian “Sausage” into patties and baked them and ate them as a sandwich. Delicious!
