It’s taking my oat milk a long time to strain thru my nut milk bag. Do you think I didn’t blend long enough?
Did you use a high-speed blender on high?
Deskjockie I wonder if you could use the pulp in some of the muffins or the Breakfast Brownies?
what do you do with the leftover oat pulp? Can you use it in other recipes?
I just made this and had it on my oatmeal. Delicious, and so quick and easy to make with a high speed blender!
Hi Julie Marie,
when you rinse the oats, are you rinsing away any of the oat’s nutritional goodness?
I only soak the oats if I’m using steel cut oats. Most of what you you see in the water is starch. You can use old fashioned oats and skip the soaking step.
Can you use oat groats instead of steel cut oat in this recipe?
Hi Vegan Girl! Yes, I use old fashioned oats. Thanks for the question!
My question if you have a really good blender do you need to strain this recipe or the rice milk?
If you are using a high speed blender and using the rice or oat milk in a sauce or soup there is no need to strain. If you are drinking it I recommend straining it.
