Plant-Based Genoa Salami Premium PD Recipe

This recipe has made the Italian Chop a protective possibility. Today, Italian chopped salad is best served as a vegged-up sandwich. In Chicago, salami is an automatic part of a deli sandwich or salad served with fresh bakery bread. As a Chicagoan I would pick my Italian chop up as an entrée salad from the near west side restaurant Bella Note or as an Italian sub on bread from Dianato’s bakery from Bari Foods Deli. The deli guys would yell down from a counter, that was taller than me, “SWEET or HOT?” My big decision at lunch was hot or sweet giardiniera. The flavors in this Protective Diet remake are the same and transport me back to my sweet home Chicago. I am grateful that I can enjoy old favorite foods and never again experience pain or obesity as a result, thanks to my Protective Diet high-fiber, microbiome-boosting, fat-free culinary innovations. My vivid memories of the unhealthy me are a reminder of the impactful practices I have normalized and celebrate at the start of every meal.
