Plant-Based Sheet Pan Pizza Premium PD Recipe

Originally sauced up heavy and baked in an automotive oil pan in Motor City, USA. Today, the rectangular-shaped Detroit-style pizza is tempting people in TV ads across the country. On a Protective Diet, we are enjoying this easy-prep, from-scratch, dairy-free version that showcases the edge-to-edge saucy style of the original, with the outstanding health benefits of fresh-milled, high-fiber organic whole-grain wheat berries.

  1. The bread maker makes this recipe as close as you can come to a set-it-and-forget-it recipe for pizza! No mixing, kneading, or rolling out dough—just let your bread maker do the work and then stretch out the dough with your hands directly into the baking sheet (hint: wet your fingers so the dough doesn’t stick to you). Julie’s sauce couldn’t be easier to throw together and I highly recommend the “sausage” shortcut. I loved the thick doughy crust with the crispy bottom.
