Protective Peaches & Cream Premium PD Recipe

This recipe is a protective way to celebrate the simplicity of this southern classic and eliminate systemic inflammation. Jerry and I annually celebrate and consume protective peaches from August to the last call in September. Peaches offer an abundance of natural vitamin A, which gives our skin a beautiful golden glow. Just as most of the protective polyphenols in citrus are found in the peel, the same is true for peach peels; unfortunately, it is common practice to remove the beneficial peel of the peach. My goal is to honor the peach peel in a bowl of peaches and cream and plate it with living plant-based yogurt in order to populate and feed my fiber-dependent health directive resident microbes their favorite fuel—FIBER! In true southern fashion, my digestive microbes will graciously serve me back by processing the fiber and producing anti-inflammatory short-chain fatty acids to reduce inflammation and the risk of disease within me, their host. When we live each day to serve the life within us, we give them all they need to serve us back. We are outnumbered; there are more of them (microbes) than us (human cells). When our fiber processors (microbes) perish or aren’t supported with the variety of fiber each season provides, we do not receive the nourishment needed to sustain a healthy, lean, calm, disease-free body.
