  1. Julie, i have an auto immune disease that has really been a puzzlement to doctors. My body flips between Hashimotos and graves disease. An integrative physician diagnosed me as regular MDs kept just being puzzled as the wt GAIN and loss is extreme. 20 pounds up 5 pounds down 30 pounds down 10 up etc. Balancing fats and proteins have been difficult. They (regular MDs?)) Wanted me to eat meat, I refused and stuck with v egitarian and vegan options, still not making a difference. I juiced for optimal health because the meds for the thyroid themselves cause at GAIN. I’ve been doing your PD recommendations since being able to get on the PD site. Do you have any helpful pointers for me, I have to stay away from soy or limit it greatly I’m told. HELP…

    1. Dear Robin,
Go 100% PD for at least three months. Full time no oils and no off plan foods. Unsweetened plain organic soy milk and tofu are the only soy products I recommend. When thyroid medications are taken soy should be avoided several hours before and after. Soy can inhibit their absorption. Tofu and unsweetened additive free organic soy milk does not promote thyroid disorders. My experience with students who are obese and have thyroid disorders that adopt a full time Protective Diet experience consistent weight loss.

  2. oh my goodness! These are amazing. I mixed ¾ of tsp of each salt, dried parsley, dried oregano, and granulated garlic together for my herb mix. I then just took pinches and sprinkled over the croutons. I put the left over in a spice jar ready to make another 3 or so batches. love these!!!

  3. I wish I would have made these sooner! These are AMAZING! I’ve never been a big crouton fan, but I certainly am now! These croutons brought my salad experience to a whole new level today! I also added nutritional yeast with the garlic and herbs.
