      I did half the recipe to taste first. I wish I would’ve done a whole one! thanks for another delicious recipe!! ( drink half of it! I couldn’t wait to chill a whole night in the fridge!

      Hi – if I made this recipe without the chia seeds would the pudding still have the right consistency?

        The chia seeds are the thickening component in this pudding recipe. When chia are blended with a liquid they gel and thicken. If you make this without them it will be too thin and runny.

      Confirmed! – Trader Joes carries Chia Seeds…. they said that they are a “superfood” – high in protein, very popular. But I’m sure you knew that. 🙂

        You can swap out any plant based milk in this recipe. I do recommend organic whole food (unprocessed) soy products on a Protective Diet. Soy milk such as west soy organic unsweetened plain contains only organic soy beans and water. All other plant baseds milks are full of additives, presevitaves, thickeners and sugar. Check you labels. Making your own would be best if you are avoiding soy. I recommend organic rice milk and have a simple recipe to make it. Thanks for the article and I agree we should look for non GMO and organically grown soy. There are reduction in cancer risks associated with the consumption of unprocessed soy. It is a beans and beans are good. Here’s my favorite resource

      The video recipe shows you using 2 bananas but the printed version shows 4..? Also the vanilla extract measurement in the video is 1 tablespoon but the printed shows 1 teaspoon… I want to make sure I do it right. Thinking of doing the video version but just thought I’d run it by you to confirm.

        You could try using less ripe bananas. The riper they are the sweeter and stronger the banana flavor becomes. I haven’t tried this, but I think it would be delicious to use frozen pitted cherries. Defrost them before blending.

      Just tried the chia seed pudding for the second time and it was so delishus! Oh my goodness. This pudding is surely a crime to eat for someone trying to eat healthy but it isn’t so me and my family are going to enjoy this!

      Made this and shared some straight from the blender with my husbands friends that were working with him this weekend, one of them tore the paper cup in half to lick it clean!! It was yummy straight from the blender but it is AMAZING after its had time to firm up.
      I loved being able to give this to my 3 yr old great niece this morning for breakfast with a cut up apple. My husband wants to put it on the frozen fruit I make with my Yonanas machine, that’ll be his dessert tonight!

      I am not a chocolate fan and I LOVED this! It’s so easy to make and tastes divine! I used carob powder instead and it tasted so decadent!

      I have tried cacoa powder before and it had a weird aftertaste. Is the powder you use different? Wish I could remember the name of the brand I tried! Is there a cocoa powder you would recommend? Thanks

        I would recommend trying a different brand. All the products I use or prefer are highlighted in orange listed on the recipes. Click on them and it will take you to a link. You can also find the cacao listed under shop/ingredients.

      Is it normal to feel the seeds when you’re eating this or did I not mix it up enough?

      Oh my goodness this was good! You can whip it up in no time, put it in the fridge to set up, then have the delight of your life when you finally give it a try. I put the recipe away in 4 rather large containers, and that was a LOT to eat. I ended up just eating it for dinner that first night.

      Made chia pudding but didn’t thicken up ,I ate it anyway it was very good followed directions
