A salad that eats like a meal was my goal when creating this main dish, oh-so-satisfying salad. This is one of the few plant-based meals that require a seat at the table to devour. Taking longer to eat than to assemble, it is exceptionally satisfying. The trendy chopped salad took over, and I forgot the pleasure of a salad that eats like a meal with both a knife and fork. Now I cut through a ripe tomato steak, then a leafy wedge swimming in the creamiest Buttermilk Dressing, sitting on top of freshly toasted bread croutons and garnished with the crunch of No-Bake Bacon Bits to make the perfect bite.
