Matcha Premium PD Recipe

The cellular protective catechin Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) and an abundance of detoxifying chlorophyll in organic Japanese Matcha prompted me to incorporate this focus-enhancing afternoon reboot ritual into my anti-aging routine. Unlike traditional green tea or coffee, Matcha offers a slow, even delivery of focus-enhancing caffeine over four hours. Japanese Matcha is made with finely ground whole Camilla Sinensis leaves that are shaded before harvest to increase L-theanine content. This amino acid relaxes the body and slows caffeine absorption eliminating spikes that can cause green tea jitters and coffee crash cravings. This recipe includes several cold or hot brew methods making this a perfect protective beverage for travelers. Shaken, whirled, iced, or hot this calorie-free protective and satisfying beverage is an ideal fasting refreshment. Matcha has a long history of medicinal use in China. The antioxidant EGCG improves cardiovascular health, cognitive function, promotes weight loss, regulates blood sugar, supports the microbiome, and protects against cancer while improving liver function with detoxifying chlorophyll. I recommend organic Japanese Matcha for its clean growing conditions and bright flavor.

  1. This recipe is so simple and so worth drinking! I’m a green tea drinker and the matcha is a great addition. Thanks, Julie for letting us know how beneficial the matcha is! It’s now in my daily hydration station to go!

  2. I am
Sensitive to caffeine so I always drink my green tea, or any other teas with caffeine before noon, but this matcha truly does not produce any of the usual negative caffeine effects in me…I love that I can make and enjoy a matcha latte made with soy milk to finish my fast in the evening and not be awake all night as a result.
