I love this loaf and I love it even more with the time saving shortcuts. I love it topped with mushroom gravy, I love it topped with cranberry sauce, and I love it topped with BBQ sauce! PRO TIP: make 2 so you can enjoy leftovers to slice and make sandwiches with lettuce, sprouts, and cranberry sauce, or slathered with BBQ sauce and a pile of creamy coleslaw. Bon Appetit!
The texture on this loaf was nice and chewy with savory flavor. I really enjoyed this, although my hubby wanted fewer mushrooms in the gravy. I told him I’d take all his. Great recipe!

Julie, could you clarify what you mean in step 13 of the Directions: “including only ½ cup of gravy without mushrooms”. Thanks.
Add in ½ cup of the prepared gravy. Avoid including mushrooms in this ½ cup measurement.
Trying to find things my husband likes. This is one of them. He liked the texture and flavor. Yah!
