got me all the way to a healthy BMI!

I have been overweight my whole life practically and I had a MAJOR “sweet tooth”. I found in January of 2017 when I was home sick for 2 weeks. I was amazed at how easy it was to give up sugar, dairy, and meat, with delicious healthy versions of breakfast brownies, banana bread & cheeze sauce. I started the Protective Diet at 188 lbs. (size 14) and lost 20 lbs in the first 5 months. Then I started playing around, eating off-plan foods. I hovered around the same weight 168-170. I did a lot of traveling in 2019 & gained about 8 lbs. So, I decided to take it a little more seriously and stop playing around in November 2019. The weight started to come off again! In Mid January, I made a 100% commitment (which I should have done years ago!) My goal was to get to 160lbs. I had been 160 (I’m 5’5″) after doing Jenny Craig in 2011. In May 2020, I did a “Stop the snacks” challenge. At the end of 30 days, I had lost 8 more lbs, dropping to 158. I was thrilled to reach my goal!!!! In the classes, Julie had mentioned a healthy BMI. I hadn’t been at a healthy BMI since I was in my 20’s. So, I looked up my BMI and saw that I needed to be under 150. Then, I set a new goal and felt confident that I could achieve it. I worked on “Stopping the snacks” for another 30 days and dropped another 5 lbs. Finally, I started “day fasting” and lost 6 more pounds, putting me at a 24.2 BMI. Yay!!!!! I’m 52 and I’m at my healthiest weight in almost 30 years. Now I am a size 6 and I have lots of energy! Thank you & Julie & Jerry for such an amazing program!!!!
